Mid to Senior Information Systems Security Analyst

The successful candidate for the Information Systems Security Analyst (ISSA) position ideally possesses an active TOP SECRET clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access, or at a minimum have an active TOP SECRET clearance and be eligible for SCI access. The ISSA will have at least 6 years’ of IT security experience in the systems security environment, preferably with complex Navy systems. The successful applicant will have experience in the cybersecurity accreditation process of General Service (GENSER) under the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology process and be proficient with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS). The competitive candidate will have familiarity with essential DoD publications for the management of all aspects of the cybersecurity analysis and development of systems security packages. It is necessary for the successful candidate to be flexible in their customer service delivery and support approach to meet rapidly changing parameters in a dynamic consulting environment. As this is a client-facing position, professional communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite applications is imperative.

Job Requirements :

  • TOP SECRET with SCI security clearance (minimum active TS and eligible for SCI access)
  • 6+ years of experience with Department of the Navy (DoN) and DoD Computer Network Defense (CND) strategies, tools, processes, and procedures
  • Experience performing cybersecurity assessments in support of Navy accreditation, General Services (GENSER) (Unclassified, Secret, Secret Releasable)
  • Ability to independently conduct thorough security assessments in a lab environment and at client sites (e.g., ship, sub, Network Operations Center (NOC))
  • Familiar with automated vulnerability scanning assessment tools and their operation to produce all security artifacts for the system accreditation package
  • Ability to analyze and identify cybersecurity threats from client data, including system event logs, network and host IDS logs, and anti-virus logs to determine system risk
  • Possess experience with implementing the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Must have Certification as a Navy Validator and minimum of 3 years of performing DIACAP/RMF security assessments for Navy systems
  • Desired experience as a Trusted Agent for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) in the SCI domain
